Happy Musicians Day to Face of God

If you ask yourself why musicians charge so much (really that much?) for performances. They don't get paid vacation, they don't get paid sick days, they don't get bonuses for outstanding performances nor for Christmas. They don't have insurance plans nor do they qualify for unemployment. They sacrifice their family on special days so that they can bring ...happiness to others. Illness or personal affairs are not excuses for a bad performance. Next time you ask, remember that musicians are musicians because of the love of music, but that love doesn't pay debts. Paranormal Whore Bomb video shoot Article 2 (Tim/UK)

BANG! When you least expect it paranormal whore bomb hits you in the face with its fast beat and strong lyrics from the boys! Not only that but now it also has a video! Including a rather dodgy looking gypsy band and even scooter riding pre-teens! From the moment recording started at 11am we knew this was a tough day! Trying to stay warm in the blistering cold and keeping Benjamin from drinking all the rum! From location to location the guys were ripping apart helsinki with what can only be described as one of the most retro Sony boom boxes I have ever seen! Onlooking people were left standing looking in wonder as if they were to ask "what are those guys on??" but gone in a flash to the next location to rock on! But this time giving Japanese tourist a reason to take pictures and say ooooooowwwww aaaaahhhhh!! Snap snap snap! With plenty of footage shot the guys are safe in the knowledge that you will love the new video! (Tim/UK)

jajajauh jajajauh, just keep your legs close if you want it so, just keep your legs close if you want it so. Oh my God oh my God oh my God...

Exactly oh my God were Helsinki’s inhabits thinking today as 3 crazy boys’ followed from a running camera man and crew through Helsinki city with music and Paranormal Whore Bomb posters. What the fuck happened?  Face of God did it!!! They had their first video shoot and whole Helsinki kept on rocking. Starting in the coldness of Finland/Helsinki/Sörnainen and fighting with sunglasses through the Finnish winter sun. Driving people crazy in the Metro and Tram

 and finally everybody was dancing with Face of God. Keep on dancing, everybody is dancing. Kids were participating with their city rollers and holding the posters of Paranormal Whore Bomb. “Mammy I am in TV” holding proudly the poster of Whore. Helsinki knows already in young age how to rock. An awesome day, after 5 h in the coldness and running through Helsinki the journey finally found it´s ending on the market square of Kamppi. Interview 15.11.2011 with Leo (Lende) singer and guitarist from Face of God

1) Face of God, how you came up with the name?

Lende: The name is from one movie that is only for blind people and it has been in my head for many years. For some people god is: Music, Money, Family or the God from the Bible or what ever you feel to belive in. God is something that you can trust and that won´t leave you. My God is music and for me Face of God is great music and great bands.

2) Your songs have very crazy lyrics. What inspirit you to write such great songs?

Lende: The lyrics are coming from my life. They are my diary. I'm writing about everything that touches me.

3) The Band is excisting now about one year, how you guys found together?
Lende: I met Benjamin 5 years ago. In that time I was playing drums. I told Benjamin that someday I would like to sing and play guitar, he thought that I am insane and I would never do that, so he promised to play with me if I ever get that kind of a band, here we are. I met Orkku (Oscar, drummer of the band) also like 5 or 6 years ago. He played drums, so did I. He was broke up and he was selling his drums away. Always when he was selling something he called me. And when we started to play with Benjamin (bassist from Face of God) we started to look for drummers, then i remembered orkku, he was weird in a good way. Then we called him and i asked if he wanna try, it worked in the first time really well. And I wasn't afraid to sing when he was around.
4) To win the Yle X competition was a huge success, what are the plans for the future with Yle X? Did you liked it in the studio?
Lende: I don't know whats the plans with ylex, hopefully they play us more.
5) The EP Fire is out, what to expect from it? Any other EP´s planned in the closed future?
Lende: The Fire Ep was mixed by Perttu Kurtilla in the Seawolf Studios in Suomenlinna. We had a great time in there and Perttu is also a good friend of my. The EP includes 4 Tracks: Fire, Miracels, Elephant and Turn back the time. You defenitly should check those out, it is weird shit. Maybe a new EP is coming out in spring.
6) The Club in Bar Loose had an fantastic sound. Did you enjoyed it to play in there? Will there be any more live gigs in this year?
Lende: It was great and fun to play in there. It was our fourth time we performed in Bar Loose. We are producing our new songs '' Paranormal whore bomb'' and '' BAD '' in the studio and more gigs are plannend for 2012.
7) With such a progressive year lot of live gigs, Fire EP is selling welll and over 400 likes on Facebook, where the band see themselves in 12 months time?
Lende: I guess in 12 months time we will get a lot of new songs done and i hope that we will get better.

Loose 10.11.2011 Face of God and Scarred by beauty

Like the singer Lende from Face of God would say "Welcome to Loose your mother fuckers" Out from the horrible smelling backstage to the front stage. The sound quality was incredible awesome today. The audience were quite shy in the beging but after they were ask by the band to come closer, they stepped forward and sang the lyrics. "Fire" and "Elephant" are the songs that everybody knows and moving lips were all around the place. Yeah "keep your legs close". They were not close at all as Paranormal started to play. The drummer Osku beat the shit out of the drums and the blond bassist Benjamin knows how rock´n´roll is working. In the end the hand klapping of the audience didn´t stoped for a while. That went well.
After Face of God, Scarred by beauty rocked the stage with hard metal sounds. A wonderful night and a big thank you to Face of God.

Pitäjänmäki Ravintola Henrik II Face of God Gig 05.11.2011

The Face of God Gig was "foging" awesome. People enjoyed it, they were dancing and singing and screaming for more in the end. The band performed the first time a new written song in the begining which was a surprise to everybody. Unfortnuatly the song is so new that it doesn´t has a title yet, but I guess it will not take long, till the crazy mind singer Lende, will come up with something. To play the new song in the begining was a success, everybody in the audience was watching into each other faces, what the fuck is that now? Great start of a live gig. The People at the gig in Pitjämäki couldn´t get enough of our rock trio. First time the screams of: "We want more, we want more" were announced in the end. Congratulation guys, that went well.

FOG ME

FOG ME is not about getting laid or walking through the fog in a landscape, it is about sucking music in. Which kind of music? I would say everything you love is great :) But my recommendation in here is Helsinki´s best Newcomer trio Face of God. Lende (Vocal/guitar), Benjamin(bass) and Oscar(drums) are creating a new trend style of rock music which is different, has it´s own craziness and gives a uniqueness to the rock music industry. The band is excisting since one year now and they crashed into the Finnish music market. The newest success is that the song Elephant is going to be used as a soundtrack to the new Finnish movie 3 Simoa. The Finnish radio station yle x provided the competition between 6 Newcomer bands/artistis and Face of God won it proudly with over 1000 votes. Now the first step into the show business is set.
Face of God plays awesome live gigs and they win more and more fans to their regular audience. It is worth to see them playing and enjoy the flow of music.
