Face of God and Tracedawn at Semifinal 22.02.2012

Face of God showed up with an awesome performance again. And it is great to see how the success of our trio is increasing all the time. Semifinal was packed with people. Lot of young people showed up to gig and surprise with knowing the song texts and rocking out to the music. Very nice to play in front of such a well supporting audience. This time there was no Finnish shyness, people had fun and were smiling. Great job guys :) Face of God played again the new song "One world" and the audience loved the strong sounds of it. "Chase Yesterday" was performed from Leo as a birthday present for a very good friend. As well he screamed out his brother’s name: Hugo during one song that shows again, how important friends and family are to the band. Also the friends and family were under the audience that time; the support comes from both sides. Just to mention that Leo lost his shirt again since a few gigs, what is attracting the female audience more and more. Benjamin´s background vocals are improved and he is an amazing bass player, also Oscar is a very professional drummer. Leo jumped again into the audience this time and people are not so scared anymore of it and started to rock with him. Great performance in Semifinal from Face of God, clapping hands all over the place and then it was time for the band of Face of God´s Fire EP producer Perttu Kurttila. Now it was Tracedawn´s time. A really awesome Finnish metal band with hard sounds, amazing growls combinate with soft vocal parts. Perttu Kurttila is not just a freaking great producer also a really great drummer. A big thank you too both bands for the great night of music, everybody enjoyed it a lot. We all hope that Face of God and Tracedawn will stage more gigs together in the future. Thank you!!!

Face of God concert review, Bar Loose 17.02.2012

The show most go on :) After the sound check finally the actually concert started. Great opening with "Price of the Glory", a song with strong beats waking up the audience for starting to rock. "Price of the Glory" is telling about relationship fighting, we all went through this situations. Then the happy mood song "Elephant" was awesome performed and is the most known Face of God song, since it became famous as a soundtrack to the Finnish movie 3 Simoa. "Sky in Flames" heated the audience in, it is the song with the hard beats and mostly the males under the audience are loving it. Really strong guitar riffs and small growling parts are giving the perfect style to that song. "Come closer and dance with us" that is the request just for one song. Face of God fans will understand what i am speaking about. "Bad" happy mood feeling, even much more stronger than in "Elephant" it makes even the shyest person under the audience finally move. After the perfromance of "Human" it was time for surprises. One of the new songs were set in: "One world" made people wonder, nice pop elements mixed with strong rock beats and a well done guitar solo. Nice to see how creative Face of God is in creating new songs that suprises all the time with something unique in it. "Fire" the leading song of the first EP was well known by everybody and great performed, finally the audience got warmed up steped closer and enjoyed to rock together with the guys on stage. "Paranormal Whore Bomb" slapt everybody into the face mentally such strong sounds and crazy rap vocals between the rock. An amazing creativity in song writing. "Chase Yesterday" the nice ballade Leo made in memories to his death father was performed very smooth. The closing of the gig made again "Turn back the time". It is the best closing song you ever can image for a concert. It rock´s the shit out of the people, screams and growls are showing a different site of Face of God. Singer Leo jumping into the audience and keep them as close as possible to rock with them as well in the end he is banging his guitar on the stage and leaving without a word. Which is giving an amazing show effect in the end, so people will remember Face of God!!!

Face of God sound check @ Bar Loose 17.02.2012

To see a sound check of Face of God shows how much fun Leo, Benjamin and Oscar are having in acting and performing on a stage. Those guys are so natural, joking around but they are still very perfectionistic and professional when it comes to the sound. One hour of sound check and two new songs, the guys are going to shine up with it in future. "Let´s shake our hands with the death" (one world) is a song that open eyes for a change, pop elements and a guitar solo of Leo are included. The song again creates a super unique style, that is the amazing thing with Face of God: no song sounds similar to an other, every song is different, special and has it´s own great elements of rock in it. "Black in the night" is sparkling with an awesome lyric, woooow: "Halos are shining, black in The Night, black in The Night, what do you want from me ? Fooling around, Fooling around, we're gonna falling in laugh." Check out the up coming gigs of Face of God, the song is going to be worthed to listen to. "Black in the night" shows up in an alternative rock style mix with strong guitar riffs and again an amazing voice of singer Leo. His voice has improved so much during the time, really great to see. That drummer Oscar has a talent, showed up also a lot during the sound check. The second band "Annie Mall" that were going to perfrom that night did miss the drummer in the sound check and Oscar was so kind to jump in, he didn´t even know the songs but it was no problem for him to play the drums with an super great rhythmus. It kind of made the band´s songs even better. Also Benjamin was not just playing perfectly bass in the sound check his vocals got max out till sound man Jonne was finally satisfied. Really great job with lot of fun, it is so great to enjoy good music.

14.02.2012 Happy Valentines Day with Leo Stillman solo

Yesterday Bar Loose had their 3^rd year anniversary party and they got a great present!!! Also all the girls enjoyed the solo gig of Face of God singer and guitarist Leo Stillman. Leo, nickname Lende woke up the emotions in the audience. Unplugged performances of "Flow, Fire, Miracles and Chase Yesterday" were sung with an amazing smooth voice and lot of feelings. The eyes of the girls were sparkling. "Chase Yesterday" was offered as Valentines song to all friends, a very nice present, thank you Leo. Also the men in the house enjoyed the soft sound and voice, band member Benjamin was supporting Leo with all his attention. The rock out song "summer is coming" was offered to the lovely reporter/DJ from Yle X and friend of the band Venla. Leo mentions that she was inspiring him to write this happy mood song. A Foo Fighter Cover of "Wheels" was played in that night as well. Hard business to play a Foo Fighter cover, but if someone can sing that great as Dave Grohl it is Face of God singer Leo. If Dave Grohl retires one day he can find his offspring in Helsinki/Finland. Also "Miracles" in a unique unplugged version was great music for everybody´s ears. This was a perfect valentines concert.

New Face of God single out in march!!!

The amazing rock trio Face of God is bring out a new single next month, in march. The single will surprise, shock you and get its attention!!! It is trend to mix music styles together, so did Face of God in cooperation with the indie-pop-electro band HeadHeartHands. The smart and very talented singer Lende from Face of God was together in the studio with the guys of HeadHeartHands and the result an awesome remix of FIRE: classical piano sounds combined with electro pop and the unbelievable great rock voice of Lende. Not just the amazing, crazy and weird remix of "Fire" will be found on the single as well "Paranormal Whore Bomb" the song with the fast and strong beats that hit you in the face and the paranormal rap parts between will get its full attention as the leading song of the single. Great work from Benjamin (bass) and Oscar (drums) to keep the sound so strong. Paranormal Whore Bomb´s video release party will be hold as well at 02.03.2012 in Bar Bäkkäri, the rock place to be in Helsinki. The video shows the rock style life of the band with impressive Helsinki panorama in the background and kind of flash mopping situation in the metro and the centre of the city. BE THERE AND DON´T MISS THE VIDEO PRESENTION and the LIVE PERFORMANCE from the band afterward. Face of God are amazing on a live stage, they will rock the house again!!! The new single provide 3 amazing songs, the third one is "Bad" the happy mood song that made the audience dance in the live concerts and will make you smile while listen to it. This single is going to be an other masterpiece from Face of God after the Fire EP.
